Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
1 tsp onion powder
¼ tsp pepper
2 tsp Bell’s Seasoning (separate recipe below)
½ tsp poultry seasoning
2 packages of herbed cube stuffing mix (Pepperidge Farm)
4 beaten eggs
4-5 cups chicken broth
Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Grease (with butter) the largest glass baking dish
Melt butter in large pot
Stir in pepper, Bell’s, poultry seasoning
Let cool about ten minutes
Add stuffing mix and gently stir in two cups of broth
Add eggs and stir
Stir in remaining broth (adjust more or less broth on how moist or dry you prefer, I used four cups first time)
Put stuffing in baking dish. Spread evenly but do not pack down.
Bake uncovered for 35 minutes
Bell’s Seasoning (This may be available at D&W, but if not, here are the ingredients for ½ cup. Above recipe uses two teaspoons.)
Ingredients (all dried spices):
4 ½ tsp crushed rosemary (non-crushed rosemary will work but will require longer grinding)
4 tsp oregano
3 ¾ tsp sage
3 ½ tsp ginger
3 tsp marjoram
2 ¾ tsp thyme
¾ tsp black pepper
Instructions:
Add all the above to the spice grinder and grind until it looks fine and mostly powdery.
